VOLVO XC60 INFORMATION | LANCASTER, PA

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (March 13, 2018) - The new Volvo XC60 luxury SUV has been named an "Autotrader Must Test Drive" winner.

The Autotrader Must Test Drive Awards is intended to benefit a broad set of shoppers by highlighting a diverse group of 12 vehicles that simply must be seen and experienced to believe. Logging thousands of miles, the Autotrader editorial experts chose the winners of the annual Must Test Drive Awards based on a wide-ranging set of criteria, including interior comfort and materials, available technology features and ride quality, each vehicle was selected unanimously by the entire editorial team.

The interior is a masterful composition of well-resolved architecture, beautiful materials and the very latest technology - all perfectly blended together. The XC60 provides a true Scandinavian experience that has proven popular with the award-winning XC90.

2018 XC60 Named "Utility of the Year" at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Completely redesigned for 2018 the XC60 is an SUV not designed to look down on others, but to drive. The exterior has an athletic stance thanks to Volvo's Scalable Product Architecture platform (SPA) with exquisite details including signature Thor's Hammer headlights.

Features like a standard 9-inch tablet-like touch screen, available driftwood-inspired wood trim, and integrated mobile device storage under the second row seats are unique to XC60.

"The Volvo XC60 raises the bar for safety and driver assistance systems in compact utility vehicles, and does it in a package that exudes Scandinavian design," said Mark Phelan, president of the North American Car of the Year Awards organization.

"We are so proud the XC60 has won this prestigious award," said Anders Gustafsson, President and CEO of Volvo Cars USA. "It is a very tough competition and we thank all the judges for recognizing the great style, technology, and engineering in the XC60. All car shoppers should take a test drive to see for themselves how great it really is."

The XC60 is available with a wide range of powertrains including the award-winning T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid at the top of the powertrain range delivering 400-horsepower and an EPA-rated economy of 56 mpg equivalent.

The new XC60, one of the safest cars ever made, is fully-loaded with new technology. Steer Assist has been added to the ground-breaking City Safety system. A new safety system called Oncoming Lane Mitigation uses steer assist to help mitigate head-on collisions, while Volvo's Blind Spot Indication System (BLIS) now uses Steer Assist functionality to reduce the risk of lane-changing collisions.

Pilot Assist, Volvo's advanced semi-autonomous driver assistance system, which takes care of steering, acceleration and braking on well-marked roads up to 80 mph, is available in the new XC60 as an option.

Volvo Cars' driver infotainment and connected services offer, Sensus, and the Volvo On Call app both receive a graphical update with improved usability. Smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also available.

LOS ANGELES (November 30, 2018) The all-new Volvo XC60 has been named a 2018 North American Utility of the Year finalist.

The new 2018 XC60 replaces Volvo's highly successful original XC60, which in the nine years since its launch became the bestselling premium mid-sized SUV in Europe with nearly a million units sold globally. The XC60 today represents around 30 percent of Volvo's total global sales.

The all-new Volvo XC60 has been named 2018 SUV of Texas by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA). The XC60 also received TAWA awards for Best Connectivity and Best Powertrain.

"Volvo is very proud to get this incredible recognition for the all-new XC60 from TAWA," said Anders Gustafsson, Senior Vice President Americas and President and CEO, Volvo Car USA. "The XC60 brings all of the award-winning technology from the XC90 to an even more popular market segment."

"There should be little doubt that Volvo's XC60 has set the bar in the segment and deserves a spot on buyer's shortlist," said Nic Phillips, president of the Texas Auto Writers Association.

"Following the multiple accolades bestowed upon the full-size XC90 over the past two Texas Truck Rodeos, our journalists have been equally, if not more so impressed by Volvo's all-new mid-size XC60," said Phillips. "The balance of performance and efficiency in the T8's Twin Engine plug-in hybrid powertrain, and for the third time Volvo's Sensus Connect, factored into the total package the XC60 embodies as the 2018 SUV of Texas."

The XC60 has been the Swedish car company's most popular vehicle. More than one-million units have been sold worldwide since it was introduced in 2008. Completely redesigned for 2018, the all-new XC60 is expected to continue that success. Standard features on the $41,500 XC60 T5 include a 250-horsepower turbocharged engine, LED headlights, leather upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof.

A 316-horsepower turbo- and supercharged engine is available, as well as a 400-horsepower XC60 T8 Twin Engine, which was named Best Powertrain by the Texas Auto Writers Association. The XC60 T8 is the only plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in its segment. It has as much power as a Porsche Macan Turbo and better EPA numbers than a Prius C.
